Curl Confidence

I have been really working on building habits that help me take care of myself without having to put much though into it. One big one I started on last year is caring for my hair.

I love my naturally curly hair, but I am incredibly impatient with it. I am actually very impatient with all beauty routines. I have a 5-minute make-up routine that only extends past that for the annual holiday party Iโ€™ll attend (and then it only 5 minutes longer to throw on some contour). I am not one for regular manicures or facials, these are things that just slip my mind over the course of living life. And my hair, it can be particular but it really deserves some consideration.

I have been really enjoying my custom Prose cleanse and condition routine I shared/reviewed on Instagram because it works and it takes all the guesswork out for me. I have recently added their curl cream specifically formulated to my needs to the mix and although I am still getting to used to it, I love the lightweight moisture it adds to my curls. What I am learning (slowly) is that it takes time to figure out your routines, and for me, my hair requires a bit of investment. But figuring out what you personally need pays off in the long run and simplifies life.
